Proceed with caution… Please! Remember that the color that you end up with when bleaching/ removing color has as much to do with the hair that you are starting with as much as what you use to alter the color.
Do a test strand on the extension hair. You are at risk of at least two things happening:
1. the extension hair not matching your own hair even after using the same product.
2. destroying the cuticle of the extension hair– this can make it impossible to comb through after it is washed
You have to process the extension hair before it is placed in your own.
Do black hair extensions (clip on) match real black hair?
I have naturally black hair, so in reality it’s not as black as say, the wigs on American Dolls or whatnot, especially in the sun. If I get clip on extensions, will they look really fake next to my real hair? Any experiences with black hair extensions would be helpful, thanks.
They’re pretty good to me.
I have friends who use extensions and it comes out fine, just be sure that the color is as close as it can get and be sure that when you put the extensions in, your real hairstyle matches it.
I used extensions in a ponytail, which are easier to pull off. I just put my hair up, then slicked the front of my hair down and wrapped the fake hair around my real hair and no one could ever tell the difference.
I find that when you heat style your real hair that’s over it though, it looks more realistic so that it gets all shiny and perfect like the extensions.

Dying black hair extensions to blonde?
There all real human hair from sallys. Got them black cos i had black hair at the time. Dyed my hair blonde about 3 weeks ago and now i want my hair back. I know itll take some time to get them blonde, just like my hair, but im going to do it.
What im wondering is should i bleach them a couple times like i did to my hair. Or bleach them and dye them a blonde shade till i get them to match mine?
Dont tell me anything about frying them, not worried about it.
just do the exact same thing you did to your hair, if you want them to turn out the same color. i dyed my own hair from black to blonde and it got really short from all the damage, so your extensions will probably end up shorter. if you have the money i reccomend you just get new blonde extensions. you can sell your black ones to a friend or something or put them underneath the blonde ones for a scene kinda look

I live in Richmond, BC. Where can I get good black real human hair extensions? and which type should i choose
My hair is around shoulder length and I want black straight extensions to around under my chest. So I’m wondering where would be a good place to get extensions, which type I should choose and around how much it’ll cost. I really don’t know much about extensions, so more details too please.
