How to Dye Your Hair Extensions at Home

Posted by admin on August 27th, 2010 and filed under hair extensions | 25 Comments »

Hello Gorgeous!!!

If you’re on a budget, you an easily dye your hair extensions at home. As much as I would like to go to the salon, I cannot afford it.

Using box dye is a great alternative, it may not be a great as doing it at the salon but you can achieve fantastic results!

I recommend buying 2 boxes for hair that is 18 inches or longer, I ran out of hair dye for just one weft so had to get anoher box. =)

Hope this helps! It turned out amazing for me!!

You cannot dye or apply heat products to synthetic hair, it just wont work. Only dye hair extensions when it is 100% human hair.

What kind of hair extensions would work best?

Posted by admin on August 26th, 2010 and filed under hair extensions | 5 Comments »

I have short hair about ears length a little longer and I’m looking to get hair extensions. Now, I’m asian so its naturally straight and kind of hard to work with cause it’s so damn straight! My roots get oily really fast which is why I wash my hair like every other day or put some hair spray in and then come it out so its kind of thick cause its thin. I really don’t want to glue it in because I don’t want my roots damaged but if my hair is naturally straight, oily and thin, what’s my best bet?

Urbanhairdesigns.com is a really good site to get hair extensions. If you don’t see anything you like, email them (info@urbanhairdesigns.com) and they will make a set that is perfect for you and customized so they will make your hair just how you want it! Their extensions are 100% human hair, you can curl, straighten, and treat like real hair. They ship worldwide! Their extensions are 100% human hair and the owner is attending Paul Mitchell and knows what she is doing!

How do I make my hair extensions blend better?

Posted by admin on August 19th, 2010 and filed under hair extensions | 2 Comments »

I have two colors in my hair, brown on top with blonde underneath. And the blonde seems to blend in a little, but I can still see some of my natural hair, because its short. And the brown on top shows a lot too, what can I do to blend them in better? Curling my hair never seems to work, and I even have real hair extensions. Help, please.

It is not a big deal to blend better the hair extensions at least you are having a problem in your hair extensions like if they are made from coarse hair or the hair extensions hair is not matching your hair texture. Always you should to consider before having extensions if their hair texture match’s yours.http://extensionsnyc.com/hairextensionstylist.html – The problem that your short hair showing through the hair extensions again: is not because your hair is short, my sister also has very short hair and have hair extensions and believe, nothing shows! always look for quality and it means top quality hair matching your ethnic hair. ALWAYS!

How many pieces of hair extensions should I get?

Posted by admin on August 9th, 2010 and filed under hair extensions | 4 Comments »

My hair is long and average in thickness. I miss my thick hair when I was younger and now it’s average and very flat wo the volume.
I’m planning to try dream catchers hair extensions for a couple of months to add thickness. I don’t want it to be too thick that it looks fake.
My hair is long up to my mid-lower back.
I was hoping 30 pieces?
Any suggestions?

I suggest going to urbanhairdesigns.com and emailing them to talk to them about getting a full set custom made. It will be human hair. Human hair is a lot better and doesn’t look fake. But that site will work with you so you get exactly what you want.

Can I bleach my black hair extensions light brown? How might I go about doing that?

Posted by admin on July 6th, 2010 and filed under hair extensions | 2 Comments »

I went through the black hair phase and now my hair is back to a medium to light brown, but my hair extensions are still jet black.

I would like to use them again but I don’t know the best way to lighten them… I am thinking of buying some bleach from Sally Beauty and just attempting to lighten them, but is that worth my time? Any better ideas?
They are human hair, not synthetic. Thanks!

You gotta remember that even though hair extensions are 100% human hair they dont always take to the hair dye like normal human hair would.
This can be due to many reasons! like the hair is processed before it reaches you which includes cleaning the hair and dying the hair.
SO…i would reccomend you buy a new set instead of ruining the set you have. i buy my extensions online from buyhair.co.uk :) very cheap x
