I want to get hair extensions, but the only good ones I can find are 20". I measured my hair and it is already 20" from root to tip. Do I need to find longer extensions?
Well it depends, if you want something longer most people do that get that amount because many people do not want their hair extension to be that long.
I believe their is some good one’s here, did not see anything over 20inch though.

Are hair extensions tacky, period? Does it seem tackier for white girls than for black girls, somehow?
JD, i don’t understand why it pisses you off. It’s not tacky for black girls to get hair extensions, in my opinion or in anyone’s opinion I’ve ever heard. But I’ve heard plenty of opinions on white girls w/ hair extensions, and I’d like to know whether it’s because they look obvious, or because white girls don’t often GET hair extensions so it maybe implies that they’re high maintenance, or what.
I have no opinion, really. I think they’re kinda "trendy" right now, but that’s about it. I don’t think it’s tackier for either.
Also which are least damaging? Could I put hair extensions in while I’m growing out my natural hair, or will they mess up my natural hair growth? I’m just to the point where I’m sick of short hair and not being able to have all the options I used to have a few years ago with my long hair. I love my hair either way, I just need a new style. Thanks. 
Also, what kind of prices are we looking at for human hair extensions?
1. Forget glued in or sewn ( most regular maintenance) in extensions…just get it out of your mind now lol, they prohibit hair growth, are usually done incorrectly and rip out hair scalp, are extremely itchy and can in some cases give you alot of irritation.
The best thing to maximize hair growth would be clip in extensions, which are removeable, however they are higher maintenance as you would have to put them in and take them out everyday. You will also have to maintain them aside from your own hair( shampooing combing etc.) these are prone to thinning that is the one downfall.
The two best options if you were looking to get them in permanently would be "beads", in my opinion they look the most natural. This is where the hair gets permanently clipped in with tiny beads all over the hair, there is no gluing or sewing, these is not as itchy as most permanent extensions and the itch eventually goes away completely. Occasionally a clip may losen and you will have to go back to the salon where they will fix it for you for free in a matter of a few seconds. The one thing with beads is that you have to be careful when you wash or dye because scrubbing you hair loosens them and dye will get built up within the layers. Second are "bonds" where tiny individual pieces of hair are glued in ( very different front whole glued extensions) directly onto the hair not the scalp, after about 6 weeks these will loosen and fall out completely with washing, the downside is that you have to get them done often and they are the most expensive.

In terms of pricing for a full head of hair( just the hair you’re looking at a couple hundred maybe 1 or 2 if you can get a deal and for installation maybe another hundred. Try going to the ethnic hair places they usually are willing to give you a deal but consult our stylist before hand)

I really want to get hair extensions, probably the sewn in ones or any of the permanent one. Right now, my hair is about one inch (haircut went horribly wrong) but I really dislike short hair. Can I still get hair extensions? Which kind would be best for me?
Yeah course u can have extentions the glue ones are not good for the hair and when they start growin out you can see the glue it does not look good.
I use the clip in ones, so u can take them out before bed so they don’t get knotted, get human hair ones so u can wash, straighten and curl your extentions
