I bought Remy human hair extensions for fifteen bucks. Are they washable and can they take heat?

I want to cut, curl, and wash them.

My OLD extensions from Sally’s, however, turned out horrible after I washed them for the first time and they were around the same price as the Remy extensions (I had to buy the clips and sew them on myself).

The Remy extensions came with the clips sewn on. The clips and the hair itself are of better quality (shinier hair and more durable clips) – and I got more hair. But I’m still afraid to wash or curl/straighten them because of what happened to my first extensions. So are $15.00 Remy extensions washable and can they take heat?
I heard a lot of great things about Remy hair, but I just want to be sure.

When you wash human extensions you have to condition really well, even more so if the quality is not all that great. Extensions from sally aren’t all that great, especially if you only paid around $15 for them. They have a coating on them that makes them soft and shiny once you wash tht coating away they become dull and more prone to tangling. When you wash always condition for 10 minutes before you shampoo. Then use a mild shampoo and mix it with water in a sink or bath tub. Run the extensions through the soapy mixture and gently wash them, but dont scrub or pull on the hair. Rinse them in luke warm water and then condition for another 10 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm (never hot) water again and pat dry before leaving out to air dry.
Hair extensions are better when you wash them as least as possible. Only wash them if absolutely necessary, like if theres a lot of build up form hair spray. When styling with heat always use a heat protector.

Indian remy hair is usually the best quality you can get. So it last much longer then human hair extensions that aren’t as good of quality. Because remy hair is so good the price is more expensive.

The word Remy refers to the quality of the hair. Remy hair is the highest quality hair the best being Virgin Remy hair which has not being processed and the cuticle remains intact. Hiiii Im going to see mcfly tonight and i really need to wash my hair extensions, ive never washed them before… but how long will it take for them to dry naturally as I have heard that you cant blow dry them?

I plan on getting these hair extensions of the brand "Remy" in a platinum blond color so that I can die them red to match the color I am dying my hair to soon. But I’m not sure if they’re safe to dye. Does anyone know if it’s okay to get them dyed professionally by a hairdresser?

I just bought a pack of 14" Euronext Remy hair extensions in jet black. I’ve worn them to the bar twice now and them seem fine but how do I know when to wash them? ( Do they actually get oily?) And how do I wash them? Just with regular shampoo and conditioner?

Yes just wash them in the sink with shampoo and conditioner, that’s the easiest way to do it. You don’t need to very often either, just when they seem like they need a wash. Well and if you wear them everyday maybe wash them maybe 2 or 3 times a week at the least. But really they don’t need to be washed that much, since they’re not attached to your actual head, they don’t get really gross and oily and you don’t sleep with them either,

i am just trying to figure out how to do hair extensions with the least amount of damage to my hair. are they easy to do yourself? or is there any other brand i should try out?

I have tried the clip on hair extension. Its easy, comfortable and affordable. You can get the clips from any hair store and then the instructions are attached and trust me when I say its easy. They have them at Sally’s so if you go there, they can show you how to attach it to your own hair and its as easy as putting a hair clip onto your hair! I use this method often and for me, its a quick way to achieve the temporary look I want. Try it!
